New Training Centre for Commissionaires Nova Scotia Opens in Burnside

Halifax, NS (July 16, 2008) - Commissionaires Nova Scotia will officially open a modern 10-room training centre in the Burnside Industrial Park July 18, 2008.

Colonel Murray Lee, CEO for the 1,600 member organization said “the centre has been in the planning and design phase since early this year and now that it is open for business our training staff will be able to provide a wide range of programs and services.” Read more

Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Dr. Gordon Barnhart Welcomes Commissionaires from Across the Country for their Annual Meeting of Divisions

Commissionaires Raises The Security Standard In The Okanagan

Kelowna, BC (May 14, 2008 ) - Since 9/11 the demand for highly skilled security providers has gone way up worldwide, and Kelowna and the south Okanagan are not immune to this trend. Commissionaires Ottawa raises $32,000 for CFB Petawawa’s military families

Ottawa-Petawawa, ON (May 12, 2008) – Just over 20 commissionaires and 20 military personnel crossed the RUN FOR MILITARY FAMILIES finish line at CFB Petawawa this weekend following a first-ever 200-km, relay-style run. A total of $32,000 was raised in support of the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC), a non-profit agency located at CFB Petawawa whose mission is to enrich the lives of individuals and families of the military community through positive action, education, and support. Commissionaires Now Stand On Guard in Afghanistan, Six Member Team Ships Out for Kandahar Tour of Duty

Toronto, ON (January 15, 2008) - Commissionaires, Canada’s premier private security provider, has selected six of its employees to report for duty at Kandahar airfield this month. The four men and two women, selected from the long list of more than 160 volunteers from across the country, will screen NATO military personnel as they arrive at the base and deal with Afghan citizens who are given access to the airfield. Commissionaires Canada Adds State-of-the-Art Digital Fingerprinting to its Range of Identification Services

Ottawa, ON (May 16, 2007) - Commissionaires Canada today announced that they are one of the first agencies to access the enhanced fingerprint services provided by the RCMP's Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services in National Police Services. The new process includes processing through the national fingerprint repository, resulting in a 72 hour turn-around time for civil submissions that do not result in an identification of a criminal record. This is welcome news for Canadians who need fingerprints taken for immigration, pardons, employment screening, passports, adoption applications, and Visa, work or travel permits. Read more

The "Next Generation" Security Force: Commissionaires Ottawa Turning Heads

Ottawa, ON (April 4, 2007) - The Ottawa-based security force Commissionaires Ottawa has recently won a slew of new contracts due to its reputation for reliability and a growing recognition that the organization offers the 'next generation' in full-scale security services.

Most recently, Commissionaires Ottawa competed for and won the coveted Regional Master Standing Offer (RMSO), which provides security to federal government buildings in the City of Ottawa.
