Commissionaires Celebrates Grand Opening of Barrie Office
Mayor Aspden and Chief Frechette take part in Opening Ceremony
Toronto, ON (March 20, 2007) – Commissionaires continues to grow with the opening today of a new regional office in Barrie. The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony involving the Mayor of Barrie, His Worship Mayor Dave Aspden, and the Chief of Police, Wayne Frechette.
Built on 80 years of integrity, experience and innovation, Commissionaires and its 17,000 employees, consisting primarily of former military and police personnel, offer a full range of security solutions through 17 offices across Canada, to protect people and property.
“We are very excited about Commissionaires expanding to Barrie and bringing our services to the area,” said Jim Watts, President and CEO, Commissionaires Great Lakes. “Commissionaires remains firmly committed to leading the industry in delivering new security services and solutions and we are proud to be able add the Barrie community to our family.”
Advanced digital fingerprinting was also unveiled and demonstrated at the opening of the Barrie office, in keeping with the organization’s continuing efforts to offer customers new and technologically advanced services. This new digital fingerprinting identification service is provided in partnership with the RCMP and boasts a dramatically faster turnaround time.
In addition to advanced digital fingerprinting, the Barrie Commissionaires office will offer a full complement of services including: industrial, office and condo security, by-law enforcement, training and administration, and court services.
“We chose a storefront space to grow our presence in the region and increase the awareness of Commissionaires,” said George Knight, Barrie Area Manager. “This is a thriving community and we’re proud to be a part of its continued success.”
