Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Dr. Gordon Barnhart
Welcomes Commissionaires from Across the Country
for their Annual Meeting of Divisions

Saskatoon, SASK (June 17th, 2008) – Commissionaires, Canada’s premier private security provider for more than eighty years, will be hosting the Honourable Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart, S.O.M., Ph.D., Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan at their Governors’ Luncheon on Friday, June 20th. The Lieutenant Governor will address the assembled Governors from 17 divisions across Canada as they come together for this year’s Annual Meeting of Divisions.

“We are delighted that the Lieutenant Governor can join us on Friday. Since taking office in 2006, the Honourable Dr. Barnhart has distinguished himself with his ability to connect with communities large and small within our province,” said Donna Birkmaier, Chair of the North Saskatchewan division of Commissionaires. “It is that passion and commitment to giving back to our communities that speaks so eloquently and directly to the Commissionaires’ mandate.”

The Governors of Commissionaires are selected across the country for their distinguished records of public service. As the service lines of the organization have expanded to include consulting, training and state of the art digital fingerprinting, the organization’s social mandate of providing meaningful employment for former Canadian Forces and RCMP personnel has remained a central guiding principle. The Lieutenant Governor is pleased to congratulate the Directors for the work Commissionaires carries out and for the organization’s preeminent role in providing security solutions in communities across the country.
