We serve the western part of the province of Québec, excluding the capital region, from our headquarters in Montréal, one of the first offices opened 85 years ago. In 2001, Colonel Guy Gendron was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Commissionaires Montréal—a company that has more than doubled in size and revenues since he stepped into this role. Today, he is responsible for the leadership and support of 1,600 employees as well as the management and growth of 120 contracts throughout the entire western region of the province of Quebec.

Guy is a highly accomplished individual with over 30 years of experience in the Canadian Armed Forces. During his years of service, he strengthened his leadership, management and decision-making skills while assuming various command positions ranging from Lieutenant to Colonel.

Among his many assignments and deployments are a mission in Cyprus and another in Germany (eight years). Guy has also served as the Base Commander at CFB Gagetown (New Brunswick), the largest army base in Canada.

Following his retirement from the military in 1999, Guy worked in the private sector for a period of two years focusing on international business development.  

In addition to the training he received during his miltary career, Guy is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies (London, England) and the Royal Military College (Saint-Jean, Quebec).

Guy is a recipient of the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) for 22 years of service and the Special Service Medal (SSM) for service provided to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He also received the United Nations Medal for Service in Cyprus.

He currently holds memberships with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and the Association des directeurs de police du Québec (ADPQ).
