Overview

Commissionaires Kingston division & region is a not-for-profit provider of security services to government and private sector clients. Job Profile

  • Conducting internal / external security foot patrols of the building;
  • Responsibility and safeguarding against fire and safety hazards;
  • Controlling access / egress;
  • Reporting incidents to the Site Supervisor;
  • Documenting security infractions;
  • Answering the telephone;
  • Providing general information and assistance;
  • Issuing and receiving keys;
  • Conducting routine searches of bags, parcels etc.;
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

All applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Be reliable;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Hold a current Ontario Driver’s Licence;
  • Hold an Ontario Security Guard Licence;
  • Be available for shift work;
  • Have a clear criminal record and able to obtain a Federal Security Clearance (min 10 years verifiable history);
  • Have CPIC/VSS.

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience

Historically, many of the men and women employed by Commissionaires have served / are serving in the Canadian Forces (Regular, Primary Reserves and CIC) or retired RCMP. We continue to encourage retired LEO’s and citizens of good character to apply.
