CEO / Commandant Appointment
October 13, 2010, Saint John, NB - Commodore (Retired) Gerald Peer, Chairman of the Board of Governors, the NB & PEI division of Commissionaires has announced the appointment of Colonel (Retired) Peter J. Kramers as the Commandant and Chief Executive Officer. He assumed the post on the retirement of Commandant David Blaney, effective October 1, 2010.
Commandant Kramers is a senior professional who has had extensive experience in planning, operations, logistics and senior executive training. He is a former Commandant of the Field Artillery School at CFB Gagetown, NB, and has served abroad in the defence organizations of the United States and the United Kingdom. After retirement from the Army, Colonel Kramers worked in the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Netherlands, the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the United Nations, New York and the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre in Cornwallis and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

"He was an outstanding candidate for the position and emerged through the selection process as a great match for the accelerating technological changes that have made our organization the premier security organization in Canada."
The Board acknowledges and thanks Commandant Blaney for the contribution he has made to the division over the past five years and for his diligent effort in promoting our social mandate.
