Congratulations to the Canadian Navy
Commissionaires is proud to officially extend its congratulations to the Royal Canadian Navy on the occasion of its 100th anniversary celebration. It is a time to acknowledge the outstanding dedication of our Navy that is always ready to deploy in times of national emergency, international crisis and war—and to respond to disaster anywhere with humanitarian aid.
In the 85 years since the founding of Commissionaires, thousands of Navy veterans have helped to shape the organization’s history and future. Many commissionaires are proud to have served as full or part time sailors, and continue to share the common values of honesty, trust and serving with integrity. One hundred years speaks to the dedication and esprit de corps of the men and women who have served over the past century, and who will serve in the next.
Commissionaires salutes our Navy’s successful past. We feel safe knowing that in the century to come our Navy is standing watch for Canada.
To mark this auspicious event, in 2009 Commissionaires donated $20,000 to commission six paintings by four highly regarded artists. These beautiful paintings not only express Commissionaires’ appreciation to the Navy but also provide a visual representation of the Navy at work. Learn more
