When we train students, including our own Commissionaires guards, we train to the exacting standards of the Canadian General Standards Board, at no additional cost. We are one of the few organizations who provide this added level of training. In order to become security licensed as a security worker in certain provinces, including Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and BC, individuals may be required to complete requisite hours of training in order to apply for a security licence. Commissionaires’ security guard training in these provinces complies with licensing requirements.

Course Duration

The security guard training course length may differ from province to province; generally, the course duration is 40 hours followed by an exam.
