We have the privilege of working with individuals committed to their community, the safety and security of those around them, and the federation as a whole. Among them, many demonstrate exemplary commitment to their post. However, it’s not often someone has the opportunity to demonstrate exemplary commitment in their post for 20 years.
Chris Belliveau joined our New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island Division (NB & PEI) in May of 1982. Thirteen years later, she was appointed Detail Supervisor at RCMP “J” Division. She has remained there since, and recently earned the Board of Governors’ Award of Excellence.
“This honour is well deserved by Chris Belliveau. She has been a valued member of the NB & PEI Division for 36 years and has consistently demonstrated our core values of loyalty, integrity, excellence and respect. We are very thankful for her positive portrayal of the Commissionaires in the community and her work on behalf of the Division.

Chris’ dedication to the federation is a reflection of her dedication to her community. While working with Commissionaires, she has simultaneously volunteered for 20 years at the Fredericton Transition House.
Heading in to Christmas each year, Chris works tirelessly to gather donations for the women of the Fredericton Transition House. This effort often gives the greatest gift the women can receive: hope.
“We here know it was a lot of work, and her dedication to supporting Transition House has hopefully made these women realize that people do care, and that it gives them hope,” said Sgt. Frank Gimpel of the “J” Division. “It is not always about the gifts but the "hope" that may be just what is needed to help change their lives. [Chris’] dedication and commitment to supporting Transition House for 20 years is truly commendable.”
Thank you, Chris. Your ever-humble attitude, hard work and commitment to improving the lives of people in your community is both admirable and inspiring.
