Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED

One day course providing an overview of emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills for the workplace or home.

Course Content:

  • Preparing to respond
  • The EMS system
  • Check, Call, Care 
  • Airway emergencies 
  • Breathing and circulation emergencies 
  • First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Wound care

Course Duration: 

6.5-8 hours, with flexible scheduling options for group bookings

Note: Most training classes run from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. unless otherwise stated. 

Course Completion Requirements:

  • 100% attendance
  • Acceptable skills demonstration 
  • 75% minimum passing grade on written exam

Certification:

  • 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR/AED Level A and C.(Re-certification: 4-6 hours; includes CPR Level C)

Take-home Materials:

  • Certification Card
  • Red Cross First Aid & CPR Manual

Cost*:

$75 +tax (full course) or $65 +tax (refresher course). *Methods of payment include credit card, cash and cheque. Special group pricing also available.
